Hello! It's nice to meet you.
In a day and age of information overload, it's easy to get overwhelmed in the clutter. From what to eat and how to move, to creating lifestyle practices that are actually sustainable, let alone enjoyable.
I know this, because I've been there.
As an information alchemist of sorts, I draw my practice from a diverse background of knowledge. I'm a yoga teacher, holistic nutritionist and writer. And above all else, I'm a deeply curious student of the art and science of health and wellness. I'm wildly passionate about the creative act of bringing together and delivering information in an accessible and digestible way through one-on-one sessions, workshops and retreats.
My own health crisis was the catalyst to delving into the vast world of health and wellness. This lead me to completing my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia, with a special interest in health promotion and health behavior change psychology. As I quickly experienced how the food and lifestyle choices we make can radically change our lives, I went on to earn my Registered Holistic Nutrition designation from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.
Although I was born and raised in Alberta, Canada, my love for the ocean and the medicine of the desert has brought me to reside in the beautiful Baja area of Los Cabos, Mexico.
As I believe health is a big picture practice, I've immersed myself in classes, workshops and trainings on subjects ranging from the subtle energetic body to functional anatomy and human movement, as well as a variety of approaches to yoga and meditation. I've been fortunate to have studied with many incredible practitioners such as Sally Kempton, Kim Froom, Meghan Currie and Teresa Haspeck, which led to my certifications in reiki, personal training and a unique approach in my teaching style.
Information alone often isn't enough to create long-lasting and sustainable change. We need tools and practices that we love to gain a deeper understanding of how to take the best care of our unique selves. I wholeheartedly believe that what we share the most with people, is in fact, our inner state. And the better we take care of and show up for our selves, the better we can take care of and show up for those around us.
